Job Description

Mechanical Manufacturing Engineers:




  • Create 3D models in CAD and drawings to make tools and equipment for building products

  • 3D printing of tools

  • Developing machine settings for processes such as Electron Beam Welding, including cutting up samples to measure the welds afterwards

  • Creating works instructions and route cards to explain to operators how to build products



Electronic Process Engineers:




  • Analyse electronic test data from failed sensors using Excel to work out what has gone wrong

  • Test products in the laboratory using equipment such as Multi-meters, oscilloscopes etc.

  • Take products apart and test parts of the circuits to find out where faults are

  • Work with the operators or test engineers to update process settings to stop failures happening again

  • Prepare re-work procedures to repair faulty product



The Recruitment Process:



On submission of your application form, Loughborough College will evaluate your application against the job description.



Shortlisted applicants will be requested to undertake an on-line literacy and numeracy diagnostic assessment with Loughborough College.



You will then be advised whether or not you have progressed to the next stage, where you will be invited to an Assessment Centre and Interview in Groby. 



Interviews & the assessment centre will be held on 30th April 2019. Please ensure you are available to attend.



On conditional offer of appointment, all applicants are required to undertake pre-employment checks.iew



Employment start dates are to be discussed and agreed at interview stage, if you are successful and offered an apprenticeship you will agree a start date with Druck directly.
