Job Description
To undertake a range of individual and group based interventions including creative, daily living / self- care skills, physical exercise, leisure based and community integration. This will include ward, OT department and community based under the supervision of trained Occupational Therapists.
Responsibilities include:
- Planning therapeutic groups and one to one activities both in hospital, and in the community
- Facilitating therapeutic groups and one to one activities
- Reading Rio notes and clinical care plans for patients particularly in relation to Risk factors
- Writing clinical notes on Rio (internal software)
- Attending OT department meetings and contributing where appropriate
- Attending ward based meetings and care planning and contributing where appropriate
- Liaising with multi-disciplinary staff regarding patients, particularly in relation to Risk factors and feeding back on individual patients engagement in therapy groups, and one to one interventions
- Assisting Occupation Therapists in the process and recovery plans of individual patients, including assessment, treatment and evaluation, and discharge planning
