Job Description

To work as part of a team to maximise the effectiveness of the business by the timely, efficient and accurate resolution of IT issues, the demonstration of the system to prospective clients and by providing high quality technical support and product knowledge whilst liaising with our development team, so ensuring all queries are responded to in an efficient, professional, and timely manner. Helping the development team in product advances and also managing the servers on behalf of the development team.



Key roles and responsibilities: 




  • Develop a thorough understanding of the company’s products and services and the ability to clearly demonstrate the product to clients and prospective clients

  • Develop a thorough understanding of the underlying technology used by the company’s products and the necessary problem-solving techniques to resolve bugs caused by the operating environment or client’s browsers and machines

  • Build up a knowledge base of errors and fixes

  • Learn and use the Freshdesk support system and support other users internally on its use

  • Work closely with the development team to resolve issues and help to create solutions to bugs and issues

  • Gain an understanding of the server setup and learn how to manage them so that they can be managed internally

  • Work on specific projects with the development team to help in coding and developing new modules etc

  • Gain an understanding of the code and database structures and ensure that it is securely stored and that we maintain control of the storage

  • Provide internal software, hardware and networking support to colleagues

  • As necessary help the sales team in making calls

  • Attend daily and weekly meetings to update information and discuss any issues

  • Contribute to the team performance by sharing and implementing best practice ideas

  • Undertake continuous training to become expert in the operation of ProForecast and to develop an understanding of accounting and forecasting

Skills Required :

  • Experience in IT - experience/good understanding of IT software and systems

  • Customer facing experience with bundles of enthusiasm

  • Software, Sage, Xero, Quickbooks, Pegasus, Sage, ERP, CRM
