Job Description
Good dog daycare are looking to recruit a trainee to help within the day care centre. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone with a keen interest in animals.
The ideal candidate would ideally be local to the area, keen to learn, hardworking, reliable and have some interest or experience in this field of work.
The role is varied but main duties will include: Dog walking, feeding, cleaning up after the dogs, ensuring the dogs are looked after and are happy.
Your hours and days will be agreed with the employer, college and yourself. Due to legal restrictions, young people aged 16-17 cannot work more than 8 hours per day
Expected duration of traineeship minimum 14 weeks (work placement) – maximum 6 months.
You will be required to study functional skills English and maths up to level 2. You will be required to study a work preparation qualification for example Level 1 Employability Award
Training will be provided in the workplace where you will work towards an occupational qualification in animal care.
