Main purpose of job
The main role of a Social Activity Leader is to engage with the students and, in turn, make sure that the students engage with all aspects of the programme - classes, activities and excursions. This means communicating, interacting, and generally being alongside the students and making sure they are safe, happy, involved and having fun.
The responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
>Welcoming new students to the centre & chaperoning groups to and from local airports
>Setting up / packing up the centre and displaying / removing signs
>Assisting with fire drills, and acting as Fire Wardens in the event of fire
>Providing welfare support for all students and reporting potentially harmful situations
>Providing first aid and accompanying ill or injured students to the local surgery, hospital or pharmacy
>Being on call during the night for emergencies when designated a ‘Night Leader’

>Ability to work well under pressure and fatigue and maintain a positive attitude
The following skills and/or qualifications are desirable:
>Previous activity/group leader experience
>Sports, arts, music, drama or other recreational skills
>Experience or strong interest in working with international students
>Experience or strong interest in working with children or teenagers
>First Aid qualified or any similar relevant qualifications

- If successful, you must have permission to work in the UK by the start of your employment
- You must be able to speak English fluently
