Job Description
We are looking for someone hard working to join our team here at Rave. The role will be split between working within our Production Team and also our Café (Front of House) to develop customer service skills and coffee knowledge alongside some experienced members of staff.
Front Of House
- Understanding of coffee menu
- Opening up procedure and closing procedure
- Serving Customers - exceptional customer service and positive attitude required
- Taking Money and using the till system
- Stock control
- Topping up/ordering stock
- Cleaning and general tidy of work area.
- Knowing pricing/product
- Understanding all health and safety aspects of food products and hygiene.
- Coffee presentation
- Credit card payments
Coffee
- Green Coffee batching
- Bagging and batching roasted coffee
- Understanding of coffee through training
- Cupping coffee and tasting
- Coffee machines understanding of all aspects
- Grinders understanding of all aspects
- Tamping and extracting espresso coffee
- Understanding of milk texturing
- Grinder checking and managing
Apprenticeship
- Attend required apprenticeship course
- Reach College targets
- Complete on site work required for the apprenticeship
Personal Qualities :
- Work as part of a team
- Positive attitude
- Motivated and hard working
- Willingness to learn and an interest in coffee is preferential
- Passion for Rave Coffee and desire to understand production methods
Skills Required :
- Basic knowledge of metric weights
- Average reading and writing skills
- Good time keeping management
- Customer facing experience
Future Prospects :
As two of our valued members of staff came through this programme and have been with the company for a substantial period. The opportunity exists to other apprentices to gain an extended position here depending on how the 12 months go.
