NCS (National Citizen Service) is a government-backed initiative with a mission to equip 15-17 year olds with the confidence, skills and support they need to make a real difference in their local communities.
In 2019, we'll be recruiting over 4,000 paid seasonal staff to support the delivery of NCS. Our roles are perfect for those looking to inspire, support and lead local young people and add to their existing youth work experience.
With positions in youth work, SEND support, media training, public speaking, and project management, we're bound to have a seasonal role for you!
Work as a Team Mentor this summer, and support and motivate a team of 15-17 year olds throughout their NCS journeys. Encourage them to bond, push themselves out of their comfort zones, forge relationships with a variety of community groups, and give back to their communities.
Inspire teams to boost their skills and confidence as either a Creative Workshop Facilitator or a Public Speaking Trainer. Run 1 or 2 day workshops in social enterprise & digital storytelling OR public speaking & communication skills, inspriing young people to develop high quality social aciton projects to benefit their hometowns.
Gain invaluable line management and project management experience as a Youth Programme Leader, and ensure the safety, wellbeing and enjoyment of up to 130 young people throughout their NCS journeys, making sure the programme runs smoothly and to schedule.
