NCS (National Citizen Service) is a government-backed initiative with a mission to equip 15-17 year olds with the confidence, skills and support they need to make a real difference in their local communities.

In 2019, we'll be recruiting over 4,000 paid seasonal staff to support the delivery of NCS. Our Creative Workshop Facilitator and Public Speaking Trainer roles are perfect for experienced students and freelancers with the charisma, confidence and skills to engage and inspire large audiences of 15-17 year olds.

Working just 1 or 2 days a week throughout the academic summer holidays, Creative Workshop Facilitators run workshops with up to 135 young people each week.
Supported by the Team Mentors, our facilitators share their expertise in digital storytelling, creative media, and/or social enterprise and start-up skills, with the aim of the young people taking their new skills forward as they design and deliver a series of Social Action Projects. They also support teams of young people in their visits to local community organisations & charities, such as nursing homes, care homes and respite centers, encouraging teams to use their new skills to communicate and engage with these groups

Our Public Speaking Trainers run weekly single-day workshops, working with a new cohort of up to 84 young people each week. Our trainers teach sessions in public speaking development, confidence-boosting skills, presentation skills and communication, adapting the set NCS curriculum to keep it engaging and accessible for different audiences.

Apply as soon as possible to secure your 2019 seasonal role - jobs are offered on a first come, first served basis!
