The Role: Long Description:
Learning on the job, working with our experienced Kitchen Crew, learn stock control, ordering and how to design delicious menus. Be involved with preparing for catering events and buffets. Learn how to create food styled images of our dishes for our social media channels.
Duties and topics covered across the role will include:
- Modern cooking techniques
- Knife skills
- Plating and presentation skills
- Preparing stocks, soups, sauces and garnish
- Dealing with deliveries, stock control & ordering
- Assisting on prep days and preparing ingredients for senior staff
- Preparing meat, fish and poultry
- Learn stock control, ordering and how to design delicious menus
Personal Qualities :
You wish to become a skilled cook/chef in a high quality food establishment. You have a strong interest in food and cooking skills that you wish to build on in a professional environment. You are enthusiastic to learn while improving your creativity. Hardworking Can work to their own initiative Organised Team Player Can prioritise Must be willing to work evenings and weekends.
Skills Required :
The post holder will be able to demonstrate strong organisational and team working skills. They will be able to demonstrate a good level of spoken and written literacy.
