Warehouse Operative Apprentice



This role will be based within a busy warehouse at a supplier and distributor of plumbing materials and will include a variety of duties and responsibilities. 



If you are looking to start your career within the warehouse sector, work within a friendly company with the potential to develop and gain excellent skills then this could be the role for you! You will gain invaluable experience within a warehouse environment, will complete an Apprenticeship and gain a Level 2 Supply Chain Warehouse Operator Qualification. 



Duties and Responsibilities may include:




  • Working with current warehouse operatives, you will need to maintain high levels of stock availability to keep the operational departments supplied

  • Ensuring damage is kept to a minimum and recorded if it occurs. 

  • Increase your own and the customers knowledge of the company’s products and parts required

  • Assist with monthly, quarterly and annual stock checks and audits

  • The successful candidate should be able to steadily increase productivity levels to meet company targets, whilst maintain quality standards

  • Develop knowledge of company quality policies and procedures

  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment

  • Ensure effective communication across the business

  • Maintain good Health and Safety procedures and use equipment safely to move goods around the warehouse

  • Maintain the highest level of customer care in logistics operations

  • Process returned goods

  • Use equipment safely to compact cardboard

  • Maintain cleanliness of equipment throughout the day



Successful candidates ideally should PC literate and able to demonstrate care and attention when handling stock and assets.



Travel to and from the site location can be negotiated or arranged for the right candidate if required.
