Security Monitoring Centre is currently recruiting for a Business Administration Apprentice to be based in Nottingham. Their apprenticeship scheme is designed to provide committed individuals with the opportunity to develop their career with an industry leading, global organisation. As a Business Administration Apprentice within our Security Monitoring Centre, you will be fully supported in undertaking a range of on the job and classroom based learning to become a Qualified Business Administrator.
The role (Level 2):
- Meeting and greeting clients
- Answering the phone and directing calls as appropriate
- Receiving mail and deliveries
- Photocopying, filing, scanning
- Preparing documents
- Preparing outgoing mail and directing incoming mail as appropriate
- General cleaning and tidying
- Any other general admin duties deemed necessary
- Assist with business reviews
- Inputting data and reporting on data
Secondary role:
- To attend training with Training Provider at various intervals as determined by the company throughout the apprenticeship
- To undertake On Job Training (OJT) as determined by the L&D issued syllabus and his/her Line Manager in accordance with company requirements
- To compile a portfolio of evidence as a requirement of their progression to CBQ qualification
- Complete distance learning modules and/or Tutor marked assignments (TMA’s) to an acceptable standard as determined by Training Provider/SMC L&D dept
The role will then progress onto the Level 3:
- Assisting with business reviews, maintaining financial controls and helping to develop robust reporting frameworks
- Helping to create reports
- Assisting in the development of ERP systems, data mining and reporting for both internal and external customers within a busy office and thriving sales environment
