Job Description

Use your inquisitive nature and ability to work well with people to help organisations turn big ideas into business-changing reality. You’ll get hands-on experience on real client projects from day one, and we’ll support you as you study for a professional qualification.

What is Consulting at EY?

The working world is constantly changing. For our clients, this can create better ways of doing things but it might also involve more risks. Our job is to combine industry knowledge with a knack for asking thoughtful questions to help solve our clients’ toughest business problems.

What will you be doing?

Whether you join us in Business Consulting, Technology Consulting, People Advisory Services – Performance, Systems and Talent or Quantitative Advisory Services, you’ll be considered a Consultant from day one. We’ll help you develop the skills to identify how each client problem is different and to find creative ways of solving them. You could be:

  • Working with local or global clients in our diverse teams
  • Developing your technical analytical skills
  • Going to workshops with and presenting your work to clients
  • Combining your business and technology knowledge to help clients adopt new tech innovations

No two projects will be the same, so you’ll experience a wide variety of learning and have support from colleagues along the way. You’ll also study for professional qualifications with CIPD, CIMA or similar institutes, depending on which programme you choose. Do well and there may be opportunities to be promoted to Senior Consultant by the end of the programme.

Do you have the analytical and creative thinking needed to work in consulting?

Entry requirements

If you have an honours degree (in any subject) by the time the programme starts, this is for you. However, if you’re interested in applying to Quantitative Advisory Services, you’ll need an honours degree in a numbers based subject like mathematics, computer science, statistics, engineering, economics or similar by the time the programme starts. We’re also keen to meet people well-versed in Excel and either SAS, SQL, Python, R or VBA.

You’ll gain Professional qualifications with CIPD, CIMA or a variety of other institutes

Locations: London, Edinburgh, Leeds, Manchester

DEADLINE: Please note- We close applications as soon as the set number of roles have been filled – so it’s best to apply sooner rather than later.
