Job Description

Jockey Club Catering are looking for a committed, bubbly and passionate individual to join our People Operations Team across 3 racecourses with the North West Region, Aintree, Carlisle & Haydock Park.

Based out of Aintree Racecourse, we are looking for a strong and focused person with excellent people skills, who can operate in a professional manner and can work well in a fast paced, dynamic environment.

The role is to assist the People Operations Team to ensure that the appropriate quantity and best possible quality of staff are booked to work at the locations for race meetings, conferences and functions, including the Randox Health Grand National Festival at Aintree Racecourse.

To assist with the recruitment and induction of New Starters, taking particular responsibility for the administration process.

To operate the telephone and email communication lines with effective and clear response to all queries directed.

To help with payroll support, ensuring all staff are paid correctly, on time and queries are contained to a minimum level.

To control weekly rota bookings, ensuring accuracy in staff bookings to suit the needs of the business.

To ensure records are filed and reviewed in line with company procedure.

To take active involvement in staffing race day operations including staff check in/out, welfare and assisting with the planning and post event breakdowns.

This role is a fantastic opportunity for someone wanting to pursue a long term career in a route of Staffing, HR or Recruitment, whilst also developing business and event experience at some of the UK's leading Racecourses and Sports Venues.

Salary from £18k dependent on experience.

Qualifications

  • Strong IT. Skills - including being Social Media Savvy Car Driver - with FULL UK Licence - willingness to drive to Venues within our Region. Flexible in availability to work weekends/evenings during peak times in our Racing Season Can Do Attitude People Person
