Each apprentice will assist the branch to achieve daily individual sales and profit targets through the effective use of resources. To pro-actively maintain and develop the branch sales and profitability by selling and enhancing customer relationships.
A morning meeting is held every day to discuss current promotions and special offers, talk about innovative ideas to increase sales and highlight any issues that may occur.
As well as prioritising incoming calls from customers, an Automotive Parts Advisor Apprentice will be required to conduct a morning ring around to key customers, establishing what they will need for the coming day and to ensure that at every given opportunity the day’s promotions are highlighted.
As an Automotive Parts Advisor Apprentice, you will be given the skills to upsell products and work towards your branch and individual sales targets.
Being in the busy Sales office, it's really important that a constant dialogue is kept open with the branch Warehouse team and Drivers, to make sure that the right parts go out as quickly as possible.
Main responsibilities and duties:
- Building long-term relationships with local customers
- Managing stock and picking parts
- Learning the operational aspects of the warehouse
- Supporting the branch to exceed daily financial targets
- Taking orders over the telephone and up-selling to increase invoice value
- Making outbound calls to raise customer awareness and achieve sales
- Actively promoting offers, discounts and customer competitions
- Limit credits and returns by sending the right parts, first time
- Become an essential, trusted part of your customers’ business
- At the end of the trading day Managers will sit down with the team and review the day's numbers and discuss customers or issues to focus on the next day
