Job Description

This is a brilliant opportunity to become a member of a team of IT Service Desk Agents for Manpower, in partnership with the Large Global Company DXC Technology. You will be providing customers with responsive IT support, fault resolution and advice. This will ensure maximum performance and utilisation of information systems.

Your key responsibilities will be:
- Offering advice to end users and customers on all areas of IT. This will include troubleshooting and ensuring desk standards are met, you will be working as part of a team in order to share knowledge and work together to increase performance standards.
- To deliver First Line IT support via the Service Desk, receiving incidents and service requests from various channels including telephone and e-mail
- Actively troubleshoot to identify, assess, record, resolve and / or escalate incidents and service requests ensuring they are handled within an agreed time limit
- To improve user’s confidence in the use of computer software, being empathetic to a variety of new and experienced learner needs
- To provide information in line with knowledge base to assist the second line support team when contacts are unreasonable
- To manage tasks and activities which may require adjustments to priorities in order to satisfy business needs

37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday, Shift patterns are 7am – 7pm Throughout the duration of your Apprenticeship you will be required to attend your academy for up to 21 days on a block release basis for structured training. The remainder of your training will be completed in the workplace with your Employer. You will work towards a L3 Advanced Apprenticeship for IT, Software, Web and Telecoms Professionals.

The qualification will consist of:
- Edexcel Advanced Apprenticeship in IT, Software, Web and Telecoms.
- MTA - Mobility and Devices Fundamentals
- CompTIA - Cloud Essentials
- L3 Diploma in ICT Professional Competence.
- Level 2 Functional Skills English, Maths, ICT (if applicable).

On completion of their Apprenticeship, your employee will be awarded with a certificate in ICT Systems and Principles and an Edexcel Level 3 Diploma in ICT Professional Competence.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 GCSE’s C and above Including Maths, English and ICT (or equivalents)
  • If successful, you must have permission to work in the UK by the start of your employment
