Job Description

Responsibilities:




  • Develop, test and implement new software programs

  • Support for existing software solutions

  • Refactoring and rewriting legacy code to improve maintainability

  • Clearly and regularly communicate with management and technical support colleagues

  • Design and update software systems. This includes, but is not limited to: Software Applications, Web Sites, Data Communication Processes and User Interfaces

  • Development of technical specifications and plans

  • Analyse user requirements and convert requirements to design documents

  • Provide comprehensive support to customers; achieve resolution to outstanding problems or issues

  • Compile timely, comprehensive and accurate documentation and or reports as requested

  • Communicate effectively and professionally in all forms of communication with colleagues and customers

Skills Required :

You will engage in all phases of the software development lifecycle which include: gathering and analysing user/business system requirements. Participate in design meetings and consult with clients to build, refine, test and debug programs to meet customer needs.



Skills required:




  • Working in an agile environment.

  • Ability to interact with technical and non-technical people

  • Have good verbal and written communication skills

  • You have good problem-solving skills and can think around a problem to ensure that progress is maintained and deadlines are not missed



Desirable tech skills:




  • Experience of VB.Net.

  • Experience of C or C++ programming.

  • Experience of writing unit tests

  • Unit testing and Test Driven Development

  • OO design and knowledge of SOA architecture

  • SQL server 2005 - 2016

  • Good database skills and knowledge of SQL queries

  • .NET Framework and Visual Studio

  • Experience of C#.

  • WinForms / WPF / ASP.NET / ASP.NET MVC



Future Prospects :

Along with training designed to provide you with real-world skills straight from the industry professionals, you will earn a salary and receive a Level 3 qualification in Software Development (equivalent to A-level; education level).
