Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to work as an Apprentice Wellbeing and Fitness Instructor for Champneys! You will gain a nationally recognised level 2 qualification in Exercise and Fitness whilst receiving full support with training and development.



Duties include:




  • operating as a positive and key member of the fitness and wellbeing team, focused in achieving the departmental aims and objectives

  • delivering of a variety of classes and services

  • actively promoting and selling all wellbeing and fitness services to raise the profile of the department and demonstrate its value to guests and members

  • carrying out and ensuring all standards and procedures relevant to your own skills list meet the department’s professional standards

  • ensuring that the company customer care standards are maintained when interacting with guests/members

  • operating with highly motivated and enthusiastic outlook and setting an example to colleagues, guests and members

  • exhibiting good communication skills and delivering all/any department information to all guests, members and colleagues effectively and maintaining discretion where appropriate

  • maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment for the enjoyment and welfare of guests and members, in accordance with the company’s health and safety legislation

  • attending and actively participating in staff meetings

  • any other duties that may be required by from time to time



Your learning and development will be supported by your own Regional Trainer who will guide you throughout your Apprenticeship. Babcock is an award winning training provider.

The ability to work with discretion and in confidence, respecting guest privacy.



Skills Required :

  • ability to use all Microsoft packages and other systems to a good standard

  • demonstrable customer service skills and the desire to go the extra mile to ensure guests have a memorable, high quality experience

  • an excellent team worker who is reliable and demonstrates good timekeeping

  • excellent communication skills to ensure effective working relationships within and across departments

  • excellent communication skills as well as an excellent command of the English language



Future Prospects :

If the apprenticeship is successfully completed there may be an opportunity for permanent employment.
