Job Description

Fuller’s are offering a fantastic opportunity for those that want to learn whilst earning and develop their culinary skills to the highest standard. In partnership with Brockenhurst College, we will provide full training in all aspects of food preparation and cooking whilst giving you an insight into some of the liveliest kitchens across the South of England.



Working in a Fuller’s Kitchen is exciting and challenging but with a full team to support and mentor you, you will develop a rich understanding of all dishes, as well as, a passion for the fresh and delicious produce that we use.



Alongside an in-depth understanding of the practical cooking skills, 1 day a week will be spent at the Brockenhurst College which will help further your theoretical knowledge. This will leave you fully prepared to tackle your assignments required to complete the course.



Food Preparation:




  • Supporting the running of a section preparation of meat, fish, poultry, vegetables and sauces as part of the kitchen brigade 

  • Preparing fresh ingredients ready for service to Fuller's Chefs’ Guild Standards



Weekly Wage



Age 16 – 20              £240


Age 21 - 24               £282


Age 25+                    £300

Personal Qualities :

  • Resilience, team working and good communication skills are essential

  • An interest in good food and ambition

  • You will be happy working to the direction of the Head Chef / Sous chef and be able to follow instructions

  • You’ll have attention to detail, be passionate about cooking, and be obsessed with quality

  • You’ll be reliable and trustworthy – always turning up for shifts, and your college lessons

Future Prospects :

Further development through our Fuller’s Chefs’ Guild Progression onto year 2 of the programme which upon completion may lead to an offer of permanent employment and opportunity for long-term career progression and competitive salaries. All academics must be completed.
