Job Description
1 week's paid work experience - Monday 25th July - Friday 29th July 2022.
Support on real client work whilst building experiences for tomorrow’s world.
At EY, no question is too small, too ambitious, or too imaginative. We use our curiosity to ask better questions, that inspire better answers.
Our paid Business Academy balances on-the-job experience with business skills sessions and work shadowing. Working in supportive teams in either Assurance, Strategy and Transactions or Tax, you’ll gain an insight into our business and learn from leaders to kickstart your EY career.
Looking to apply for the EY Business Apprenticeship? The Business Academy is a great way to work out whether the EY Business Apprenticeship is right for you. We expect that most of the students taking part in the Business Academy will secure a place on the next year’s EY Business Apprenticeship. If you’re one of them, not only will you set your career off in a great direction, but you’ll also take a lot of the pressure off your final year at school and you’ll have already met members of your future team here at EY.
What will you be doing?
Over the course of one week, you’ll become a valued part of a team of leading professionals, helping to make a difference to our clients and their businesses. You’ll be:
- Learning from the experiences of previous apprentices at EY
- Getting an accurate picture of what it’s like to work within a global professional services firm
- Collaborating with colleagues completing the EY Business Apprenticeship
- Adapting fast, supporting on real work for real clients
Are you eligible to apply?
We operate an open access policy, meaning we don’t screen out applications on your academic performance alone. You must however be in Year 12/5th year, completing three A levels/Five Highers (or equivalent) and have a minimum of grade 4/C GCSE (or equivalent) in English Language and Maths
You must also live within a one hour commuting distance of the office location you're applying to and have strong motivations for exploring alternatives to university.
“I was attracted to the EY Business Academy as it gave me the opportunity to meet people who had joined EY as an apprentice and ask them any questions I had. I think this is vital for anyone who is not sure about whether they want to get an apprenticeship or go to university.” James, Tax Apprentice
