Company Details

Founded in 1958, Kent Wildlife Trust is the leading conservation charity covering the whole of Kent and Medway.

If you work for us you’ll be in good company. We have over 100 professionals, more than 1,000 volunteers and over 31,000 members all contributing towards our mission and doing their bit to help the habitats and wildlife where they live.

We manage and protect over 65 nature reserves and operate 3 visitor centres that are open to all. Our reserves are crucial habitats from which wildlife can spread back into the wider countryside and where we run a programme of wildlife walks, illustrated talks, reserve work parties and events to help people to find out about nature conservation.

Nature is in trouble and it needs our help. Kent Wildlife Trust has a plan to aid nature in our county and we actively engage with politicians, business leaders, landowners, communities and the public so that we can all work together and protect wildlife.

Together we can create a Wilder Kent. Our plan for the future covers towns, coasts and countryside.

We'll bring back lost species, restore natural processes and create an abundance of animals and plants. We will ensure that common wildlife doesn't become rarer. We will work to make our marine reserves into safe areas where an abundance of sea life can thrive and support sustainable livelihoods for coastal communities. We'll promote nature's recovery as a way of keeping local people and our planet healthy.

How is Kent Wildlife Trust funded? Our work to save wildlife and wild places and bring people closer to nature relies on the financial support of our members and donors. We do not receive any core government funding.
