ITP Apprenticeships offer a cost-effective way for all employers to take on apprentices, combining a robust, bespoke training package with full support throughout. From your initial inquiry through to recruitment and for the duration of the apprenticeship, we will be on hand to help.

Since the launch of our level 3 apprenticeship in March 2013, we have created more than 50 jobs in the telecoms industry. These have ranged from engineers to technical helpdesk advisors, not only offering young people a chance to start their careers, but also offering telecoms businesses a headache-free way to find the fresh new talent they need. Due to demand from the industry, we have now devised a level 2 apprenticeship, which enables you to grow your sales teams with apprentices who will learn telecoms understanding along with our unique sales training as a bolt on course.

We currently run two intakes of level 3 apprentices per year, in March and September, with our first cohort of level 2 apprentices starting in October.

Without new talent, the telecoms industry will struggle - and apprentices are the best solution to that problem. We're not the only ones that think that - a recent survey of 500 firms showed that:

· 77% of employers believe apprenticeships make them more competitive
· 76% of those employers who employ apprentices agree they make the workplace more productive
· 81% of consumers favour using a company which takes on apprentices

Why be an Apprentice?

With the cost of University increasing year on year, more and more young people are choosing an apprenticeship rather than going to University.

Apprenticeships are a great way to learn a trade – is an apprenticeship for you? Here are 5 good reasons that they are

    1. The chance to shine. When you start an apprenticeship, you will learn your trade from a master. You will work with someone who’s an expert and who will help you learn how to be an expert too.

    1. A skill you can use. Jobs that start with an apprenticeship are highly skilled, and they are in high demand. After all, not everyone can be an engineer! It takes specialised training, which you’ll gain through your apprenticeship. Once you’ve completed the apprenticeship, you’ll have credentials that will be valued anywhere you go.

    1. Earn while you learn. People don’t usually get paid to learn something new! But as an apprentice, you’ll learn a new skill and get paid while you learn.

    1. Great opportunities. 83% of apprentices have said that their career prospects have improved doe to completing their apprenticeship.

  1. A secure future. With an apprenticeship, you’ll have the chance to gain the skills and technical know-how to become one of the best in your field. Achieving such a high level of skill will lead to a higher salary and greater job opportunities.

Apprenticeships are a great way to start in the Telecoms industry. It won’t be easy - you will have to work hard, but the rewards are huge!
