National Citizen Service
– A fantastic personal and social development opportunity for 16 & 17 year olds. We provide over 1,000 places a year for local teenagers to access this once in a lifetime opportunity in the Summer holidays or half term break.

Work Experience and Apprenticeships – Inspirational placements in any sector of work for ages 14 upwards and Apprenticeship opportunities for young people and businesses. We offer a service to schools, colleges and individuals aged 14 + and work with over 4,000 businesses in Leicestershire to find the right match. Over 5,000 young people and adults go out on a placement each year with excellent feedback from the host companies and participants.

PPA testing - Thomas International Personality Profile Assessment, which is a psychometric tool used by Blue Chip companies, provides students with a detailed report which highlights their working strengths and behaviours. There are many descriptive words which can help a student complete applications and build a CV. This report will also help students to make career choices based on their preferred working style. Our qualified Careers Advisers have been trained to provide feedback and guidance.

U-Explore, The Digital Careers Tool - Ofsted cited U-Explore as an ‘outstanding’ platform that holistically delivers careers education, information, advice and guidance, ensuring whole-school provision and an inspirational experience for students. We provide training to schools and colleges to enable users to maximise U-Explore’ s potential. The features of U Explore include an extensive Job Bank, which gives details of jobs, qualification requirements, employers speaking about their jobs and why they chose to do the job which they do; there are also curriculum resources on the site to support careers education. The benefit to the school leadership team is that you can monitor how U Explore is being utilised by students and their parents, by class, year group. The platform is also used to present management information for OFSTED reporting purposes and to share with governors.
