United Biscuits, often abbreviated to UB, is a maker of some very famous and popular biscuits. They are the biggest biscuit manufacturer in the UK, and also make a range of other snacks, churning out favourite nibbles from famous brands like McVitie’s, Penguin, Jacob’s, Twiglets and Mini Cheddars. Their products are bought by a staggering 98% of UK households, and the British company is a major employer of graduates and students.

In addition to their UK manufacturing bases, United Biscuits also has factories and facilities around the world, and is the second biggest biscuit maker in Ireland, Belgium, France and the Netherlands. The company trades in over 130 countries around the world and is currently owned by Turkish food and drinks firm Yıldız Holding. Worldwide, United Biscuits employs around 7,000 people.

UB was founded in 1948, but it’s roots go back much further than that, with many recipes being handed down through the generations until two Scottish companies merged to form United Biscuits.

UB Summer placements last for 8 to 12 weeks and industrial placements run for a full twelve months.
