UK Events & Tents provide marquees and event planning for all manner of occasions - from weddings to christenings, from anniversaries to wakes, right through to charity functions and corporate events. As well as hiring out marquees for big occasions, UK Events & Tents also offers furniture hire, luxury portable toilets, refrigerated trailers, generators and power facilities, along with catering, bar and staffing services. With so many events to be organised, UK Events & Tents are always on the lookout for great staff to work with them on a full or part time basis. And the company often recruits tons more people to work in seasonal roles for their very busy peak time over the summer months. So, what sort of jobs can students do at UK Events & Tents? Well, as well as catering and hospitality roles, there is a lot of work involved in just setting up the marquees at events, so the Bedfordshire company often advertises jobs for seasonal Marquee Riggers and Dismantlers. It’s hard work, but very well paid - and enjoyable to boot. Hourly pay can be over £8 once you’ve gained some experience, and the hours can be anything from 30 to 60 a week, with early starts of around 7am. So, as well as being fit, hard working and willing to work in any weather, you’ll also need to be able to get yourself to Pulloxhill very early in the morning. As well as putting up the marquees, you’ll also be involved in loading them up, laying down carpets, hanging drapes, arranging furniture, creating dance floor areas - and, then you have to take it all back down again when the event is over. |
