Company Details

Salty Dog make choice crisps and other tasty snacks like gourmet popcorn and naturally nutty nuts (The Mutt’s Nuts). With a range of interesting crisp flavours including Sea Salt & Malt VÄ°negar, Ham & Wholegrain Mustard or Jalapeno & Coriander, Salty Dog has something to tickle everyone’s taste buds.

From their headquarters at Salty Towers in Chesham, Buckinghamshire, Salty Dog has been in business since 2003 after husband and wife team Dave and Judy Willis decided they could make much better crisps than they could find in the shops. Named as a nod and a wink to their beloved terrier puppy, Ruby, Salty Dog started to produce high quality, hand cooked crisps from the best quality British potatoes.

In their first year, Salty Dog sold snacks worth £300 thousand, and doubled that performance in year two.

Just a few years later, the company added the Darling Spuds brand to their range, seeking to take the humble crisp to a whole new more natural and wholesome level. The Darling Buds name was launched in thousands of Starbucks outlets and has added a new face to the company.

Salty Dog has been a regular in the Cool Brands® featured list of the hippest British companies; a list which has also included brands like Absolut Vodka, Aston Martin, Prada and Tiger Beer.

Although Salty Dog has grown to become a company that turns over around £3 million a year, they have managed to do so with a small team of people. They do, however, look for quality students and graduates who can help them succeed and spread the Salty Dog and Darling Spud brand names to a wider audience.

A big area of the Salty Dog business is retailing to pubs and other outlets who can showcase their range of snacks to an eager audience.

Typically, Salty Dog might look to swell their sales team at certain times of the year - and often these product pushes and launches will tie in well with college or university holidays. If the company is advertising positions then you might be able to secure a temporary role with the snack company, or even pick up a few hours on a part time basis during term time.

Salty Dog only looks for students and graduates with a strong pedigree so you will need to be at the top of your game to land a job with the company. They look for teams of people who can deliver a Crufts standard performance in order to take their business forward.

If you are convinced that Salty Dog would be barking up the right tree by hiring someone like you, then apply for any of the full time, part time or temporary positions currently being advertised below today.
