The Churchill House School of English Language has a worldwide reputation for offering top quality English courses at good value to people from all over the globe. They are a British Council Accredited School which places foreign students with welcoming families at various locations while they learn English in a fun, friendly and safe environment.
The family-run company has been around for more than 40 years and tries to provide high quality lessons to small classes with their team of friendly and professional English language teachers.
In addition to the language learning side of Churchill House, the school also has a strong social club programme for visiting students. This sees the students taking part in sports, arts and crafts, dance, drama, cultural tours and free activities in the evenings.
The main Churchill House School is situated on the seaside at Ramsgate, Kent – less than an hour and a half away from London. Churchill House also runs eight summer centres up and down the country which operate through July and August.
The Churchill House summer centres come in a variety of sizes; St Lawrence College in Ramsgate can look after 350 students at any one time, whereas Oxford’s St Benet's Hall has a more elite feel with a maximum of just 40 students whereas some of the other centres cater for just 80 students.
The summer centres of Churchill House are in London, Ramsgate, Bath, York, Nottingham, Harrogate, Oxford and Surrey – and you could find a summer job working at the one that is most conveniently located for you.
The summer jobs on offer at Churchill House are quite varied. We’ve advertised a range of positions including Summer Centre Teachers, Summer Administrative Assistants and Summer Activity Leaders, Activity leaders, Activity Managers and Assistant activity managers.
The hours involved are different for each type of job. All of the summer jobs at Churchill House are full time. Other jobs have more flexible hours and could be on a part time basis at weekends with the number of hours worked each week fluctuating. The hours for each position fluctuate but we can ensure that you will always be kept busy, whether you are dancing on stage at a disco, on a boat trip along the Thames or running a quiet arts and crafts session with a few students.
The work involved in these summer jobs with Churchill House can be demanding, but rewarding at the same time. You’ll certainly be kept busy, but you’ll also have plenty of opportunity to meet lots of people from a range of backgrounds and countries at Churchill House.
