Law firm restructures graduate programme Bristol-based law firm Beachcroft its set to review is graduate recruitment programme to ensure it picks the best possible candidates, it has been reported.

According to the Lawyer, Beachcroft previously used generic recruitment criteria for selecting candidates, but will attempt to tailor the graduate application process to its own needs.

Carrie Daniels, trainee recruitment manager at the legal practice, told the news provider: "We haven't had a review of the graduate recruitment programme for five years.

"It's time for an update and redesign," she added.

The law firm, which has 140 partners and more than 1,400 staff in eight offices around the UK, also recruits graduates in London.

In related news, a leading international law firm has teamed up with the College of Law to provide graduate recruits with on-the-job training.

Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton's City arm offers its prospective trainee lawyers the chance to study a Graduate Diploma in Law, the Legal Practice Course and the Professional Skills Course.

The partnership will come into effect next September, when the law firm will send 12 of its trainees to study at the College of Law.
