Online recruitment fairs offer graduates the same opportunities without having to attend in person, one expert has said.
Graduate Prospects revealed those who have recently completed a degree looking for a job are able to circulate their CVs and make appointments to talk to prospective employers all at the click of a mouse.
Jayne Rowley, publishing director of the higher education body, said "For recruiters with diversity agendas or candidates with accessibility issues, this removes a lot of the obstacles thrown up by recruitment fairs in the real world."
Chat technology enables private online interviews as well as public chat forums and candidates are able to search for recruiters online and often apply for jobs via email.
Graduate Prospects was established in 1972 and works in partnership with prominent bodies in the field of higher education to unite students, graduates and recruiters.
It was recently revealed by Adecco that those looking for a job should not follow in the footsteps of Apprentice winner Lee McQueen who lied on his CV.
