Foodservice giant Bidfood is to create 200 full new jobs or part time jobs in Worcester with the opening of a major new depot.
The multi-million pound facility, located on Worcester Six Business Park, marks Bidfood’s 27th depot in the UK and is part of the company’s ongoing investment in its national distribution network.
Once fully operational, the site will offer a wide range of employment opportunities, including warehouse operatives, drivers, logistics staff and administrative roles; ideal vacancies for jobseekers of all levels and backgrounds across the Midlands.
For students, young people and anyone else looking for entry level roles, warehouse and driving positions typically offer flexible shift patterns and opportunities for internal training and progression.
The 60,000 square foot depot is designed to support growing customer demand in and around Birmingham and the wider Midlands region, with state-of-the-art facilities and modern infrastructure.
Bidfood is continuing to grow its UK presence, with work already underway on a 28th depot in Durham, expected to open in summer 2026 and create further jobs in the North East.
The company supplies over 10,000 products to foodservice operators nationwide, including top brands and its own label ranges, alongside catering equipment, cleaning materials and a large selection of wines, beers and spirits.
The Worcester opening follows the success of Bidfood’s 26th depot in Bodmin, which launched last year and created 30 driving and warehouse roles in the South West.
Announcing the new venture, Bidfood’s chief operating officer, Mark Wood, said: “Worcester will provide an outstanding addition to our already strong depot network. The introduction of yet another new depot continues to emphasise the importance that we place on long‑term investment in our infrastructure.”
“Following record volumes of items handled by the Bidfood network recently, the addition of this new depot will further enhance our ability to provide our customers with service excellence and ultimately place us closer to them,” added the COO.
As Bidfood continues to expand its network, the Worcester depot offers a promising opportunity for anyone looking to build a career in logistics, distribution or supply chain management.
