Easy Bathrooms To Create 400 New Full Or Part Time Jobs In Yorkshire

Easy Bathrooms are using a cash injection of £13 million from Lloyds Bank to expand their operations and create 400 new full or part time jobs in Yorkshire.

Hundreds of new vacancies will be created for students and other locals in Leeds and Wakefield as Easy Bathrooms plans to increase its warehouse space threefold in the region.

The bathroom specialist currently employs around 670 people in full and part time roles across the United Kingdom, so the recruitment drive will see the firm boost their headcount by almost 60 per cent in the coming months.

The Leeds-based company, which sells bathroom fittings to both homeowners and tradespeople, opened its 100th store just a few weeks ago.

The firm will now use its latest funding windfall to launch a new 30,000+ square metre distribution facility in Wakefield, creating a variety of new roles.

Most of the new jobs will be warehouse vacancies but there will also be distribution roles and many more jobs in various support operations of Easy Bathrooms’ business functions.

After helping to arrange the £13 million finance deal for Easy Bathrooms, the company’s relationship director at Lloyds Bank, Mark Butterworth, said:

“Easy Bathrooms is an instantly recognisable, trusted British brand, and we are excited to support the team as they embark on this next phase of their growth journey.”

“A leading local employer in Yorkshire, they are a prime example of a brand that has expanded at a pace that is impressive, but still sustainable, tapping into market demand without sacrificing the quality they are known for,” said Mr Butterworth.

Explaining why they are able to expand despite the effects of Coronavirus, Easy Bathrooms’ financial director, Laura Green, said:

“Over the course of the last two years, the home improvement sector has boomed, and we’ve seen demand for our products soar.”

“Like all businesses, we have been pushed to adapt quickly to constantly changing conditions during the pandemic, and for us this meant accelerating our expansion plans to ensure we could keep up with growing customer demand.”

“Our new premises give us the capacity we need to stock the biggest and best range of products for our customers, and help us operate with maximum efficiency, unlocking further growth as we move into the new year,” added Ms Green.
