Recruitment is now underway for food & drink staff at the Wimbledon Championships 2022.

Yes, that’s right!

It’s not even Xmas here in the UK yet, but the prestigious tennis tournament in London’s SW19 is already on the hunt for staff to fill thousands of jobs at Wimbledon for next summer.

Levy UK recruits food & drink staff for Wimbledon (and many other famous sporting events and venues). As Europe’s single biggest annual sporting catering operation, the Wimbledon tournament entertains almost half a million people over the course of two weeks

And, to achieve that feat, they need around 2,000 members of staff in full and part time roles to make everything run smoothly.

Roles on offer at the Wimbledon Championships 2022 are wide and varied, including:

• Bar Staff

• Baristas

• Cashiers

• Food Preparation Assistants

• Food/Drinks Runners

• Plate Waiting

• Kitchen Porters

• Retail Service Staff

• Chefs (all grades)

• Logistics

Hourly pay is at least £10.85 (+ benefits) for most of the roles, but chefs can look forward to £15 or more per hour.

The Wimbledon Championships 2022 start on Monday 27th June and run through until Sunday 10th July but you’ll need to be able to start work on 25th June in order to make preparation for the event run smoothly.

Offering some insight into the unrivalled experience of working at the famous event, one team member from a previous year said: “Working at the Championships was fantastic! Working in such a fast paced and engaging environment was challenging but also incredibly rewarding. The atmosphere was always lively and the people were wonderful.”
