Young’s Seafood is creating 400 new full or part time jobs in Lincolnshire on the back of increased demand for its fishy products.

The hundreds of new vacancies will be at Young’s Seafood’s factory facility in Grimsby, where the company is the Lincolnshire town’s biggest employer.

The company already employs around 2,600 staff at Grimsby, where the Young’s headquarters are based, but expects to grow its headcount in the town by more than 15 per cent before the end of 2021.

A variety of production operative roles will be on offer at the Grimsby factory and Young’s Seafood are keen to point out that there are fantastic opportunities to rise through the ranks at the fish manufacturing firm.

Young’s Grimsby site director, Terry Tuplin, said: “We have so many development and promotional opportunities and are keen to promote from within, wherever possible. Today you can be a production operative packing or helping make our products, tomorrow you could be managing people or going into other departments such as learning and development or marketing.”

“I was recruited from the shop floor over 30 years ago, and as my career flourished, so did the success of the business. We can all enjoy the development, investment and opportunities to grow here at Young’s. Many of our management population have grown up with the business and so can anyone else.”
