Food preparation specialist Bakkavör is creating 150 new full or part time jobs in Lincolnshire.

The roles will be based at Bakkavör’s facility in Bourne, less than 20 miles from Peterborough, and there will be 100 permanent positions as well as 50 temporary summer vacancies which could be of interest to students in the area.

Bakkavör mainly specialise in the salad sector, prepping leafs, fruit and vegetables for top food retailers in the UK.

The company has been a presence in Bourne for two decades and has provided jobs for many locals and visiting students over the years.

The summer vacancies might be attractive to students who want to fit some part time work in around their study commitments, since different shifts are available and the pay rate is competitive.

Most of the roles on offer at Bakkavör Salads in Bourne are for factory operatives but there are some team leader positions up for grabs too.

Announcing the new vacancies in Lincolnshire, Bakkavör Salads Bourne’s General Manager for Operations, Jonathan Zair, said: “Today’s news on 150 new jobs contributes to the economic health of the local community at a critical time.”
