ResQ Partnership With Vodafone To Create 120 Call Centre Jobs In Hull

ResQ, a Yorkshire-based contact centre specialist, has announced that its partnership with Vodafone UK will create 120 new call centre vacancies in Hull.

The call centre jobs will be based at ResQ’s new offices in the old House of Fraser building on Hull city centre’s Paragon Street and the company says that all of the 120 vacancies will be permanent positions.

ResQ already employs around 450 customer service staff to work on the Vodafone contract at its existing office space on Hull’s George Street. The new recruitment drive will see the firm’s partnership with the telecoms provider add more than 25 per cent to their headcount in the Yorkshire city.

Announcing the new jobs in the Yorkshire city, Gill Marchbank, the Chief Operations Officer for ResQ, said: “We can safely say that the past year has been somewhat lacking in positive news, even more so in Hull over the past month with the rise in Covid cases. Amid this difficult climate, it’s really rewarding to be in a position to create new opportunities for our local community through our partnership with Vodafone.”

“I am incredibly proud of our team who have demonstrated significant resilience and an unequivocal commitment to continuing to deliver a world class service for our customers, and, still with a smile on their face.”

“Opportunities to expand our partnerships with customers like Vodafone could not be made possible without them. It’s for this reason that we must continue to support them both personally and professionally through these uncertain times,” added Ms Marchbank.

Vodafone UK’s head of consumer sales channels, Jon Shaw, also commented, saying: “The new positions are a sign of Vodafone’s continued investment in the UK and our ongoing partnership with ResQ. The expansion is great news for Hull and our customers as it will allow us to continue to provide the best possible customer service experience as we keep the UK connected.”

Councillor Daren Hale, deputy leader of Hull City Council welcomed the announcement, saying: “The news that ResQ are looking to take on over 100 people is particularly welcomed at this time and also serves to demonstrate the commercial confidence in the City Centre by a leading private sector employer.”
