Professional services firm Deloitte has announced plans to create around 200 new jobs in an expansion of its consultancy operations in the North of the UK.

The new vacancies, to be created in England’s North West, North East and Yorkshire regions, will be advertised and filled over the course of the next three to four years.

Deloitte will launch the recruitment drive early next year, looking for staff to work in roles as diverse as analytics, change management, cloud deployment and digital transformation.

Deloitte’s current consultancy staff in North England work out of offices in Leeds, Manchester and Newcastle.

The company’s department already employs around 100 staff in the North but the latest round of recruitment will see Deloitte treble their consultancy staff in the region before the end of 2024.

Announcing the new consultancy jobs in the North, Rosina Murdoch, a director at Deloitte, said: “Being part of the leadership team to expand our consulting practice in the north means I can combine two commitments; to the growth of my home region and to the clients I love to work alongside.”

“I am hugely passionate about offering consulting careers to those based in the north and look forward to working with our community of talent as we grow,” added Ms Murdoch.

Richard Bray, one of Deloitte’s partners who, after recently relocating from London, is now spearheading the push for new talent in northern parts of the UK, said:

“I am extremely proud and excited to be responsible for expanding our consulting team in the north. The region is home to a wide range of ambitious businesses and public sector organisations that are looking for support on transformation projects and how to adopt new ways of working.”
