Ant Marketing, a telemarketing specialist, has announced plans to fill 300 new full or part time jobs in Sheffield.

The recruitment drive for hundreds of staff in the Yorkshire city comes after the company acquired the brand assets and client accounts of B2B lead generation firm MarketMakers.

The company is now on the lookout for new premises to house the extra staff in Sheffield. The 300 Sheffield jobs are to be filled before the end of 2020 and Ant Marketing say that more vacancies could follow next year.

There is a mix of roles up for grabs, with the company seeking staff to look after their clients’ social media accounts, customer service workers, back office teams and team leaders.

Announcing the jobs bonanza for the city, Ant Marketing’s marketing director, Gemma Storkey said: “This is a really exciting time for all of the team at Ant and will open up many more jobs for people living in Sheffield.”

“It's reassuring to see Ant grow in size and employ more people than ever, even throughout the pandemic. It is testament to Ant's amazing team of people and the support and trust from our customers,” added Ms Storkey.

The company’s founder and chief executive officer, Anthony Hinchliffe, also commented, saying: “Long term sustainability for our employees, our clients and our wider stakeholders in an increasingly challenging economic environment is at the heart of our agenda and this is just the start of our exciting plans for the future.”
