Retailer Anything 4 Home To Create Dozens Of Jobs In Stoke-on-Trent

Homeware and DIY retailer Anything 4 Home has announced plans to create dozens of new full or part time jobs in Stoke-on-Trent with new headquarters in the Staffordshire city.

Applications are now open for 50 new vacancies as Anything 4 Home settles into new offices and distribution facilities at the Oldfields Business Park in Stoke.

The warehouse and offices which the retailer have taken on cover over 9,500 square metres of floor space over two floors at the business park in Stoke’s Fenton area.

Launching the recruitment drive for 50 new staff in Stoke-on-Trent, a spokesperson for Anything 4 Home said:

“We are pleased to announce the expansion of our operations to include this new storage distribution hub in Stoke-on-Trent. This acquisition will strengthen our foothold as a major online retailer. As our name suggests we sell anything for the home including décor, furnishings, gardening equipment, kitchenware, ceramics, DIY equipment, office stationery, toys and games.”

“We are excited about what the future holds as we have heard nothing but good things about the up-and-coming city of Stoke-on-Trent. One of the determining factors in our decision to acquire this site was the increasing number of national and international companies setting up distribution depots in the city.”

“In the coming months we will be seeking to expand our workforce and invite all interested parties with warehouse experience to send us their CV for consideration. We will only accept email CV submissions at this time,” added the spokesperson.

Edward Kennerley, one of the associates at real estate firm Knight Frank which expedited the sale of the property, also commented, saying: “We are delighted to have agreed the deal with Anything 4 Home, which had been looking for suitable freehold premises in Birmingham for more than two years.”

“There is a lack of freehold second-hand industrial property opportunities across the Midlands and we are seeing a number of owner-occupiers who are willing to move cities in order to secure the freehold premises they need to grow their business,” added Mr Kennerley.

The leader of Stoke-on-Trent City Council, Abi Brown, welcomed the announcement, saying: “Stoke-on-Trent’s reputation is growing as the place to do business and attracting Anything 4 Home from Birmingham shows exactly that. It is great news that Anything 4 Home will be bringing another 45 jobs to the city with its relocation.”
