Addo Food Group Creates 300 Temp Jobs For Coronavirus Redundancies

Addo Food Group has announced 300 new temporary jobs for workers who have been made redundant during the Coronavirus outbreak.

The food company has vacancies at its manufacturing facilities in Nottingham, Market Drayton in Shropshire and Poole in Dorset.

No previous experience of food manufacturing is necessary as Addo Food Group say they will provide full training to all new staff.

The company, which makes a variety of savoury food products including pasties, pies, sausage rolls and scotch eggs, is offering hundreds of temp vacancies on the back of many people losing their jobs in the hospitality industry and leisure sector during the pandemic.

Announcing the recruitment drive for new production line staff across three counties, Deborah Bolton, the chief executive officer at Addo Food Group, said: “Coronavirus has impacted on so many hospitality businesses already and as workers are being laid off all over the country from restaurants, pubs and bars.”

“We’re pleased to be able to offer temporary positions within our sites, including Palethorpes, which may help to ease the financial pressure that a lot of people now find themselves in. It’s a really difficult time for people and it’s important that we help where we can,” added Ms Bolton.
