Gulliver’s Valley, a new theme park due to open this spring, will create up to 150 holiday jobs in Yorkshire during the first phase of its development.

Gulliver’s Valley is set to open in Rotherham in the next few weeks and applications are now open for between 120 and 150 seasonal vacancies at the theme park.

The Rother Valley attraction will span more than one million square metres and comes at an investment of almost £40 million.

The theme park will feature a mixture of rides, a dinosaur-themed Lost Jurassic World, indoor climbing and play areas along with themed on-site accommodation for staying guests.

Jobs on offer at the theme park will include a mix of ride operator positions, catering & hospitality roles, retail work and hotel vacancies.

Announcing the recruitment campaign for up to 150 staff in Yorkshire, Gulliver’s Theme Park Resorts’ managing director, Julie Dalton, said: “As we get closer to opening Gulliver’s Valley later this spring, we are getting incredibly excited about the opportunities that are arising for the local community to get involved.”

“Launching our recruitment drive is a major part of this as it would be wonderful if we could recruit individuals from the South Yorkshire area so they can really take advantage of this new theme park which will be on their doorstep.”

“We are looking for people who share our aim to give families and children quality time and memories, through fresh air and fun activities. The right candidates will be enthusiastic, fun loving, have good communication skills, be flexible and show great initiative,” added Ms Dalton.

Applications for the seasonal roles at Gulliver’s Valley close on Monday 9th March and potential candidates will be asked to attend a recruitment weekend over Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th March.
