Webhelp To Create 120 Call Centre Full Or Part Time Jobs In Scotland

Outsourcing specialist Webhelp has announced plans to create 120 new full or part time call centre jobs in Scotland.

The new vacancies will be based at the company’s offices in Larbert, Falkirk and it is thought that all of the positions will be permanent roles at Webhelp.

The announcement comes as Webhelp expands its existing partnership providing customer services and sales support for Sky Mobile. The move will allow the company to create an additional 30 sales positions and 90 customer service roles once refurbishment is completed at Webhelp’s Larbert call centre facility next year.

Webhelp already employ more than 850 staff at the Larbert base, but the new recruitment push will see them increase their headcount in Falkirk by around 15 per cent to reach approximately 1,000 employees at the call centre.

The new recruits will be staged in early next year with the first successful applicants starting in mid-January 2020 and the rest to follow before the end of February.

Commenting on Webhelp commitment to her company over the last ten years, Sky’s Head of Service Operations, Laura Martin, said: “Our Webhelp teams consistently deliver outstanding customer service. They are true advocates of Sky as we make sure they’re totally aligned with our brand and values.”

“Growing the site in Larbert is testament to the success of our partnership so far, and I’m looking forward to the future as we continue to go from strength to strength as we grow our site,” added Ms Martin.

Webhelp UK’s Chief Executive Officer, David Turner, also commented on the recruitment drive, saying: “We are pleased to be able to offer job opportunities to more people in the Falkirk area, who have consistently performed at an extremely high level, demonstrating a talent and skill for managing the customer experience for one of the UK’s biggest brands.”

“These new jobs along with the site refurbishment are indicative of our commitment to investing in both people and infrastructure in support of our local economy,” added the CEO.
