Home, garden and leisure retail chain The Range has said it will create dozens of new full or part time jobs in Leeds with the opening of its latest store.

The Range will open a new outlet on Birstall Retail Park, just outside Leeds, on Friday October 25th 2019. The retailer says that there will be around 80 vacancies up for grabs at the new Leeds superstore.

The Birstall superstore, to launch on the former Toys R Us site, will span two floors and will consist of more than 4,500 square metres of retail space. The development will also include an outdoor garden centre and a cafe.

Roles on offer at The Range in Leeds will include warehouse positions and retail jobs, along with some managerial vacancies for more experienced applicants.

Announcing their latest venture, Chris Dawson, founder of The Range, said: “Opening a new store is always an exciting moment for the company and the Birstall, Leeds superstore is no exception.”

“The job provision that comes with the new store should be a great boost to the local area. We hope that the people of Leeds, and the surrounding areas, will be delighted with this news,” added Mr Dawson.
