Logistics Firm Creates 150 Jobs In Northamptonshire

McGinley Logistics Support has given a boost to the Corby economy with 150 new full and part time jobs for the Northamptonshire town.

The logistics firm, which only started trading this summer, created 50 jobs when it was founded and has now confirmed plans to take on a further 100 members of staff in Northamptonshire over the course of the next year.

The company’s fulfilment centre in Corby is located at the Earlstrees Industrial Estate and spans more than 6,000 square metres. Within the next twelve months, McGinley Logistics Support will triple its headcount at the Northamptonshire facility as it expands into new markets with its transportation business.

Founder and Chief Executive Officer of McGinley Logistics Support, Scott McGinley, said: “Corby is a prime location for a logistics business to be based as it falls in the golden triangle of logistics, which is made up of the M42, M1 and M6 motorways. This means that we can get to 98 per cent of England within a four-hour drive.”

“At a time where many businesses in the area have been forced to make redundancies or offer zero-hour contracts, we are proud to have opened this new facility in Corby and created permanent, full-time jobs that pay above the National Living Wage,” added Mr McGinley.

Peter Hillman, co-founder of McGinley Logistics Support, also commented, saying: “We have quickly built a business working with smaller companies than our competitors, leveraging large volumes across air, sea and road. We are small enough to offer flexibility but large enough and experienced enough to offer top quality unloading, packing and wrapping services and deliver all over the globe.”

Scott McGinley set up McGinley Logistics Support just six months ago after working in the sector for two decades with big names such as Argos, Play.com and Tesco. After huge initial success with the new business the firm forecasts a first year turnover in excess of £2 million and is now set to open further bases in the United States and Australia.

If you are trying to carve out a living in Corby or surrounding areas then we can help you earn a few extra pounds for your pocket. Whether you fancy bar work or charity fundraising jobs, there is no shortage of work in this part of the country.
