Argos is looking to fill 10,000 seasonal jobs this Christmas, with some of the roles earmarked to become permanent once all of the mince pies have been eaten in 2016.

With over 800 Argos stores recruiting for the busy Christmas period and beyond, there should be a seasonal job not too far from where you live. Festive roles on offer at the retailer, now owned by the Home Retail Group, include in-store positions such as Customer Service Advisors and Stock Assistants along with delivery jobs such as Fast Track Customer Service Drivers.

Many of the Argos Christmas jobs are part time, with a minimum of 10 hours guaranteed on weekdays and 6 hours over Saturdays and Sundays. The temporary contracts will be for at least three months, but some positions will be extended into the New Year and beyond.

Speaking about his own region in the North West, Paul O’Neil, a Manchester-based divisional manager at Argos, said: “Job creation is one of the most important contributions we make to the Manchester and Lancashire areas and we are committed to maintaining the friendly, personal service we are known for, whether customers are shopping in-store or buying online for home delivery.”

“The work is fast-paced, varied and rewarding with the potential to learn a whole set of new skills. Many in the past have gone on to develop their career with us and progress rather rapidly to run a team, department or even store, helping to drive sales and deliver great customer service,” added Mr O’Neil.
