Odeon Screening For 40 Cinema Jobs In Oldham

Odeon is to create 40 cinema jobs in Oldham as it opens a new seven-screen film-goers’ heaven in the grade II-listed town hall building.

Dozens of jobs for cinema hosts and supervisors will be on offer, with the majority set to go to Oldham locals.

Recruitment will get underway in the next few weeks for the new Odeon cinema in Oldham and the venue will be able to seat almost 800 film-lovers at any one time.

Odeon Oldham’s General Manager, Paul Dagg, offered some clues as to the sort of candidate they were looking for and gave details on how to apply:

“Working closely with Oldham Council, we're putting a great deal of time and effort into hiring passionate and enthusiastic local people to join our team. We're offering fantastic training and opportunities, and working together will ensure we deliver the exceptional customer service expected by our guests. Leader of Oldham Council, Jean Stretton, welcomed the news, saying: “This development is central to our regeneration of Oldham town centre and we are excited to welcome Odeon here to bolster our strong list of quality, well-known and trusted brands. Odeon are fully on-board with our Get Oldham Working campaign which helps create new jobs and opportunities for local residents.”
