Discount retail chain B&M is to open a new store at Project Jennifer in a move which will create over 60 new retail jobs in Liverpool.
The new outlet will be one of B&M’s larger format outlets, featuring a garden centre, and will open during Spring next year at Project Jennifer on Liverpool’s Great Homer Street. Building work is expected to start at the £150 million Project Jennifer in Autumn this year and the new B&M store will sell a range of furniture, DIY products and garden equipment along with their usual range of discount goods.
A spokesperson for B&M said: “We’re feeling really positive about the creation of new jobs for local people and we hope customers are going to be delighted with their new store. We are all really excited to get the doors open and welcome our new customers through the door next year.”
Projects director for St. Modwen, the developer for Project Jennifer, Paul Batho, added: “We are delighted to have such a high profile successful national retailer committing to the Great Homer Street scheme. We are currently in detailed discussions with other potential occupiers and we are looking forward to making further announcements about other occupiers in the future.”
B&M employs more than 20,000 staff in full and part time retail roles in the UK and the Speke-based company now boasts over 500 stores around the country. You can find out more about the firm by checking out our employer profile of B&M stores.
