400 Advanced Computer Software Tech Jobs In Birmingham

Advanced Computer Software, one of the leading software providers in the UK, has announced plans to create 400 tech jobs in Birmingham.

The computer software firm has recently moved its headquarters from Birmingham Science Park in Aston to new city centre offices at Birmingham’s Mailbox upmarket shopping and office development. The office space, spanning some 45,000 square feet, will allow the company to take on hundreds of new staff in Birmingham, increasing its headcount by around 20 percent from 2,000 to 2,400.

Advanced say that there will be a mix of graduate IT vacancies and tech jobs for non-graduates in Birmingham too.

Chief Executive of Birmingham City Council, Mark Rogers, said: “It is great news that Advanced has chosen to launch in Birmingham, creating hundreds of new training and career opportunities for the city’s workforce. With over £1bn of investment in the last year, the Greater Birmingham region is enjoying significant growth. We are building an unprecedented amount of modern office space and investing record amounts to improve transport links.

Advanced Computer Software’s Chief Executive Officer, Gordon Wilson, explained why people should work for his company, saying: “The launch of our new Birmingham office is a key milestone in our business growth strategy and the talent acquisition programme represents a great opportunity for individuals considering a career in IT. We are passionate about identifying dynamic, high performing and motivated individuals who are invaluable to our future expansion and who will make a major contribution to our company culture.”

“Birmingham is the clear choice given it has the UK’s largest regional urban economy and is the most popular destination outside the South East for mass millennial migration,” added Mr Wilson.

Advanced Computer Software was founded just eight years ago in 2008 and has already grown to a company worth around £750 million, dealing with clients including Birmingham Children’s Hospital, Carewatch, Harvey Nichols and Virgin.

There are literally thousands of vacancies in Birmingham throughout the course of the year - and they are available for people of all backgrounds and education levels.
