New Casino To Create 100 Jobs In Wolverhampton

A new casino, to be called Casino 36, is to open next year, creating up to 100 full and part time jobs in Wolverhampton.

The new gambling venue will be an expansion of an existing casino in the West Midlands city and will cost an investment of £4 million. Full and part time roles to be advertised at Casino 36 include croupiers, bar workers, waiters, waitresses, cleaning staff and other hospitality jobs.

15 trainee croupier jobs have already been filled, but dozens more vacancies will be advertised for the Wolverhampton casino over the next few months.

Group Manager of Casino 36, Craig Dobson, said: “Regeneration in Wolverhampton is steaming ahead and we are delighted to be playing a part in helping rejuvenate the city centre. We are now at the stage in our project to start recruiting for the 100 jobs the small casino brings, and being able to draw on the council’s experience in this area to help fill these positions is extremely helpful.”

Councillor Peter Bilson, the council deputy leader for Wolverhampton , added: “This project brings a significant number of jobs to Wolverhampton. It will kick-start regeneration on Southside and will prove a real asset to this area of city.”

As well as the Casino 36 in Wolverhampton, the company also owns two other gambling venues with casinos in Stockport and Dudley.
