RB (Reckitt Benckiser) To Add 100 Graduate Jobs In Hull

Reckitt Benckiser, the health, hygiene and home products specialist which has recently rebranded itself as ‘RB’, is investing £100 million in the East Riding university city of Hull - a move that will create at least 100 new graduate jobs and other top-paying positions in the city.

The company, which has its headquarters in Slough, Berkshire, has had a working presence in Hull for over 200 years. It currently provides jobs for around 300 employees in the city, but expects that figure to grow to over 400 in the next three years as the firm hires new graduate talent in Hull.

It is expected that the vast majority, if not all, of the 100+ newly-announced positions will be for graduates or highly-skilled experienced staff who want to work in the research and development of the RB health product range.

The company is already a top ten player in the global consumer healthcare market, but has aspirations to climb further up the ladder by creating a global centre of excellence in Hull and hiring talent that can set them apart from their competitors.

RB’s Senior Global Research & Development vice-president, Sharon James, said: “We have an ambition to be higher. We had grown to the point where we needed to make that additional investment. We're focused on dealing with a lot of local companies as well and hopefully that will have an impact. There will be opportunities for the whole spectrum of development. Bringing new, bright graduates into the business is extremely important for building for the future...”

It is great to see big and ambitious companies like RB creating new vacancies for graduates in places like Kingston Upon Hull, and we ourselves like to advertise as many opportunities as we can for university leavers in the city.
