100 New Restaurant Jobs In Gloucester At TGI Friday’s & Coal Grill & Bar

New branches of TGI Friday’s and Coal Grill & Bar are getting ready to open their doors at the Quays retail centre in a move which will create around 100 full or part time jobs in Gloucester.

The new restaurant jobs at the two eatery chains will be advertised over the next few weeks as TGI Friday’s gets ready for action in June and Coal Grill & Bar expects to be ready a month later in July (subject to planning permission being granted by Gloucester City Council).

The Quays Outlet already provides hundreds of Gloucester retail jobs at stores like Next Clearance, Cotton Traders and Austin Reed - along with restaurant jobs at existing eateries such as Chimichanga, Nando’s, Pizza Express and Zizzi.

The new additions from TGI Friday’s and Coal Grill & Bar will hopefully bring more visitors to Gloucester Quays, attracting more retailers and restaurants further down the line, which will in turn support even more jobs for this area of the city in the future.

Drawing attention to what the regenerated area brings to the city, Gloucester City councillor, Paul James, said: “The Quays has really established itself as a leisure quarter for the city. The restaurants have been doing very well and these new additions will give it the critical mass that it needs. TGI Friday’s are particularly exciting as they have gone under a revival and are very much a destination restaurant.”

Jason Pullen, the managing director of Peel Outlets, which operates Gloucester Quays, also commented on what TGI Friday’s and the Coal Grill & Bar will bring to the table:

“This is an important next chapter in our leisure quarter. The existing restaurants are doing extremely well and this will only add to the offering,” said Mr Pullen.
