New Holiday Inn Express Hotel Jobs For Young People In Birmingham A new Holiday Inn Express hotel is set to open in Birmingham this June and is expected to create around 50 full or part time jobs in the process. The management of the new hotel are keen to offer the catering and hospitality jobs to young people in Birmingham.

The new hotel, formerly a tower block of office space in the city, will host over 200 rooms and create a variety of Birmingham vacancies for kitchen workers, receptionists, porters and other hotel staff. Some management roles will also be generated by the opening of the new hotel this summer.

General Manager of the new Holiday Inn Express in Birmingham, Andrea Whigham, explained why offering some of the new hotel jobs to young people was something she valued highly:

“Offering career paths for young people is very important to me. I have a personal commitment to developing young people and I will be looking into establishing an apprenticeship scheme in the future," said Ms Whigham.

The InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) which owns the Holiday Inn brand runs over 4,000 hotels in over 100 countries around the world. Other hotel brands in their portfolio include Crowne Plaza, Hotel Indigo and Candlewood Suites Hotels.
